Knowledge creates real value only when it is shared. This belief was at the heart of the ‘Explosives & Blasting’ seminar, held on 20 May 2026 at the Small Amphitheatre of the University Campus in Koila, Kozani.
The event was organized by the Department of Mineral Resources Engineering of the University of Western Macedonia, in collaboration with ELTEK SA and PPC S.A. — three entities representing the full value chain: academic research, explosives industry, and energy production.

Bridging Academia and Industry
In a sector where theory and practice must align with absolute precision, this seminar served as a unique meeting point. Engineering students, academics, and industry professionals gathered to exchange experiences, raise questions, and discover first-hand the modern applications of commercial explosives.
For ELTEK, participation in knowledge-sharing events is an integral part of its corporate philosophy. The company does not only produce explosives — it produces expertise, shared openly with the next generation of engineers.

ELTEK & the University of Western Macedonia Partnership
ELTEK and the University of Western Macedonia are already connected through joint equipment and research initiatives — including Europe’s only Detonation Chamber for commercial explosives testing, a facility unique to the continent. This seminar marks a new chapter in this relationship: an open knowledge exchange with the next generation of mining engineers.
Stronger. Safer. Committed.
